Protected Mode

The Protected Mode is a security feature in DMIx that can be applied at both item and collection levels to prevent assets from being dragged and dropped from the Cloud into a third party application. It is represented by a lock icon, indicating that the content is restricted from unauthorized use in product creation workflows.

How Protected Mode Works:

• Available at item and collection levels, ensuring controlled access to sensitive assets.
• Prevents drag-and-drop actions, restricting the use of protected assets.
• Safeguards proprietary and licensed materials, ensuring compliance with intellectual property agreements.

What a user can do with Protected Mode enabled:

• View the item or collection if they have Read access.
• Use the item as a reference in workflows where drag-and-drop is not required.

What a user cannot do with Protected Mode enabled:

• Drag and drop the item from the Cloud into a third party application.
