Background Tasks allow DMIx to process certain actions in the background while you continue working in the platform.
This is useful for actions that may take longer to complete. For example, when more than 20 objects are deleted in the cloud, the action may be created as a background task. You can then check the task status in the Background Tasks area.
Open Background Tasks
To open Background Tasks:
In the left-hand navigation, click the double arrow icon.
The Background Tasks page will open.
Who can access Background Tasks?
Background Tasks are available to all users.
Company users can see their personal background tasks.
Company Admins can switch between Personal and Company view and also see background tasks for the entire company.
Task areas
The Background Tasks page is divided into three sections:
Queued
Tasks that are waiting to start.
Running
Tasks that are currently being processed.
Finished Tasks
Tasks that have already been completed or failed.
Depending on the task status, you can use this page to keep track of background activity and check whether a task finished successfully.
Filters and status overview
The Background Tasks page includes filter and sorting options to help you find tasks more easily.
You can use these options to review task status, narrow the list, and check finished tasks from different time ranges.
