Calibration is a critical step in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of your DMIx SamplR scans. The calibration process adjusts the scanner and iPhone to match the environmental and device-specific conditions, enabling precise color and texture reproduction. It is mandatory before the first use and re-calibration is recommended on a regular basis.
When to Calibrate
- Initial Setup: Calibration is required when the SamplR is used for the first time.
- After Moving: If the scanner is relocated to a new environment.
- Device Changes: After replacing the iPhone or the phone adapter.
- Periodic Use: Recalibrate after approximately every 3 months or when scans show inconsistencies.
