MeaSure Overview

MeaSure is a tool within the DMIx product family that allows you to take color measurements using a spectrophotometer or import color data from files like QTX or CXF.

How Does MeaSure Work?

To use the MeaSure Tool, follow these steps:

1. Access Requirements

   • You must have the MEASURE function assigned to your user account.

   • It is also recommended to have QTX Export and Lab Export functions for additional features.

   • You must use DMIx app, web browser does not support MeaSure Tool

2. Connect a Spectrophotometer

   • Compatible devices include X-Rite, Datacolor, and Konica Minolta spectrophotometers.

3. Calibrate Your Device

   • Use a white reference tile and a black trap for calibration (calibration steps may vary based on your device model).

   • Different measurement modes and apertures will be available depending on your device.

4. Take a Color Measurement

   • Once a measurement is taken, it will appear in the list.

   • You can also import color measurements from your local drive (QTX, CXF) or use the drag-and-drop feature to import from a DMIx collection.

5. Process and Analyze Measurements

   • The measurements can be analyzed based on your specific needs.
