Updating and Synchronizing Data
When objects in the Company Account and data on the PaX server are permanently linked via the foreign key, you can update the master data on the PaX server. Once the foreign key is set, you can make changes on the server without syncing. All changes will be shown in real-time in your DMIx Company Account.
There are different ways to synchronize data between the DMIx Company Account and the PaX server. The best synchronization method depends on your specific use case.
Synchronizing a Single Object
If master data for a single object has changed or if a new object has been uploaded to the Company Account that needs to be connected to the PaX server, you should synchronize the individual object. To do this, select the object in the collection view using the checkbox and activate the “Sync with PAX vendor” command from the three-dot menu.
Synchronizing Multiple or All Objects in a Collection
If master data for multiple objects within a collection has changed or if several new objects have been uploaded to a collection and need to be connected to the PaX server, you should synchronize the selected objects. Choose the objects in the collection view using the checkboxes and activate the “Sync with PAX vendor” command from the three-dot menu.
Synchronizing All DMIx Company Account Objects
The Company Admin can also synchronize all objects in the Company Account with the new PaX data. To do this, the admin needs to use the “Vendor Sync” function in the Company PaX settings.
Depending on the number of objects, this function may take some time to complete. It is recommended to run this synchronization process overnight.
