BulkControl, is an essential tool within the DMIx platform, designed to manage and streamline fabric quality evaluation during bulk production. It provides suppliers with instant feedback, facilitates dynamic production adjustments, and ensures alignment with brand quality standards.

How BulkControl Works (Key Use-Cases):

1. Linking Approved Lab-Dips to Bulk Production:

BulkControl connects with MatchBox, using approved lab-dip results to guide bulk production. Dye lots are assessed against bulk production tolerances set by Brands (principal), which are usually broader than lab-dip tolerances to accommodate the realities of large-scale production​​.

2. Dye Lot Analysis and Approval:

Suppliers (Contractors) upload .qtx files for each dye lot. These files are automatically analyzed against the bulk production tolerances, and dye lots are approved if they fall within these parameters​​.

3. Real-Time Feedback with a Traffic Light System:

BulkControl provides immediate feedback using a traffic light system:

Green: The dye lot meets bulk production tolerances and is automatically approved.

Yellow: The dye lot is in the marginal approval zone and is automatically approved but serves as a warning to the supplier. The supplier should closely monitor the production process to avoid shifting into the red zone.

Red: The dye lot exceeds bulk production tolerances and requires review by the principal, who can decide to approve it, request a physical sample, or reject it after further evaluation​​.

4. Sample Requests:

Principals can request physical samples at any point during bulk production for further quality assurance​.

5. Detailed Color Analysis:

BulkControl includes classic colorimetric tools to ensure accurate color analysis, and the evaluation of shading and quadrant consistency within bulk dye lots​​​.

6. Seamless Integration:

BulkControl imports relevant data from MatchBox, such as color standards and user roles, while offering API integration with existing PLM and ERP systems​​.
