The user will find the DMIx MoodBoard tool interface, on the left hand side of your screen:
Pan Tool (Move) – (four-directional arrow)
Allows you to navigate and move around the canvas without affecting objects.
Click and drag to reposition your view.
Transform Tool (Selection/Move Object) – (pointer icon)
Used to select, move, resize, or rotate objects on the moodboard.
Click on an object to manipulate it within the workspace.
Text Tool (Add Text) – (text icon)
Enables you to insert text elements into the moodboard.
Click anywhere to start typing and adjust font size, color, and style as needed.
Color Tool (Fill/Background) – (solid square icon)
Used to apply colors to objects or backgrounds.
Select an element and change its color for better visualization.
Color Picker (Pipette Icon)
The color picker tool (pipette icon) enables users to sample a color from any existing element within the MoodBoard.
It ensures color consistency by allowing users to extract exact shades from an image, background, or another object.
Once selected, the sampled color can be applied to other elements, maintaining visual harmony across the board.
This feature is especially useful when working with imported images, brand colors, or theme-based designs, ensuring a cohesive color scheme throughout the MoodBoard.
Forms Tool (Shapes/Objects) – (outline square icon)
Allows you to add basic shapes such as rectangles or squares.
Useful for creating structured layouts or organizing design elements.
Guideline Tool (Alignment Aid) – (guideline icon)
Helps in aligning elements accurately within the mood board.
Use it to maintain consistent spacing and positioning.
Create View (Zoom & Focus) – (zoom icon)
Adjusts the view scale or focuses on specific areas.
Click to zoom in/out and recenter your workspace.
Explanation of the functions/icons on the right-hand side of the DMIx MoodBoard interface:
Views - (Eye Icon)
Allows you to toggle between different views of your mood board.
Helps focus on specific elements by hiding or displaying different layers.
Layer Management - (Stacked Layers Icon)
Provides an overview of all elements on the mood board.
Enables you to rearrange, lock, or hide layers for better organization.
Useful for managing complex compositions with multiple elements.
Upload MoodBoard - (Upward Arrow Icon )
Enables you to export or upload the current mood board.
Can be used to share, save, or integrate the board into the DMIx ecosystem.
