MoodBoard Tool – Overview
The MoodBoard Tool in DMIx is designed to streamline visual concept development and collaboration, enabling users to create, manage, and share color-managed digital mood boards. It serves as a centralized workspace where designers, product teams, and suppliers can compile colors, materials, images, and textures to align on creative direction.
Key Features & Benefits:
Color Representation Accuracy – When working with spectral color data, the MoodBoard ensures precise color visualization. However, imported images in formats such as PNG or JPG are not based on spectral values and may not provide fully accurate digital color representation.
Seamless Collaboration – Easily share mood boards with internal teams and external partners.
Linked Digital Assets – Maintains direct connections to original material and color references within the DMIx ecosystem when spectral data is used.
Flexible Format Support – Import and arrange spectral colors alongside standard graphic files for creative flexibility.
By integrating into the DMIx platform, the MoodBoard Tool enhances efficiency, consistency, and decision-making, ensuring that color accuracy is maintained whenever spectral data is utilized.
The MoodBoard Tool can be accessed from the TOOLS menu, as shown in the image. It is listed among other key tools such as 3DMagic, MeaSure, ShowCase, and 3DStudio. Simply click on MoodBoard to open and start creating your digital mood boards within the DMIx platform.
