If changes to a user cannot be saved, the reason may be an invalid UserID.
DMIx now applies updated rules for UserIDs. A UserID may only contain:
uppercase and lowercase letters
dots .
hyphens -
underscores _
Spaces and other special characters are not allowed.
Example
Valid: max.mustermann
Invalid: max mustermann
For newly created users, DMIx shows a warning message if the UserID is invalid.
For existing users that were created before these rules were introduced, the UserID may still contain invalid characters. In this case, saving changes to the user will not work until the UserID has been corrected.
Solution
Update the UserID so it only contains allowed characters. Once the UserID is valid, the user record can be saved successfully. Please refer to more details to the following Helpsection Article Manage Company User
